Fossa Racing at Chetwynd
Our annual event is promoted in partnership with Ashfield Road Club, and is a round of the SRAM Notts & Derby Cyclocross League. Cyclocross is one of the main grassroots entry points into cycling, and we are indebted to the British Army who host the day at Chetwynd Barracks in Chilwell, allowing us to put on a fantastic day of racing suitable for a range of ages and abilities.
Although Fossa is a commercial venture, the event is run on a not-for-profit basis by the Fossa Racing team. Team members, along with our regular pit crew and families, put in a great deal of time and effort to make the event a success. Proceeds from entry fees (after payment of costs) go towards prizes and investment in next year's event, and income from catering goes to support the Chetwynd Teddies Nursery.
